Get a Free Student Email for Software Discounts

Many software products and cloud services offer generous student discounts or even free plans, and most of them verify your student identity via a .edu email address.
This article walks you through how to register a Penn State (PSU) .edu email. Just follow the on‑screen steps and you’ll be able to complete the registration.

1. Preparation (Required)

After you finish filling in all the forms, the system will show an Account Overview page, summarizing your name, date of birth, email, address, and other information so you can do a final check:

If everything looks correct, click Next / Create Account in the bottom‑right corner to continue.

4. Verify the email verification code

After submitting the information, the system will send a verification code email to the personal email address you provided. Follow these steps:

1. Open your personal email inbox (for example Gmail or Outlook).
2. Look for the verification email sent from PSU or the system.
3. Inside the email, you’ll find a verification code.

Go back to the registration page, enter this verification code into the corresponding field, and then click Verify / Submit.

Once the verification is successful, the system will finish creating your account, and you’ll receive your Penn State .edu student email account. You can then start using this PSU .edu email to unlock student pricing and discounts on software, cloud platforms, and developer tools.
